Very technical and in depth. Curious of how the 4 Kelvin I s survival inside the ship. I also want to hear all kinds of more details about how the temporal details work. It sounds fascinating.

The 4.2 K only applies to the superconducting coils themselves, not the entire ship. The coils need to operate at that temp in order to maintain superconductivity and handle the very large power loads (this is my theory at least). As for the temporal side of things, it came from me thinking about how, in physics, there is an opposite but equal reaction. So, with the shear of the cosmological constant, I thought what would be an equal reaction? Well, a lot of math has space and time as a kind of shared entity. So I thought, if we're making space "smaller" what if that made time "bigger". So, using this logic, I decided that when they "hopped" or "sheared" space, time would expand for them relatively. This is probably the least scientifically grounded part of my story but I thought it was a cool idea
